ridiculous - Deserving or inviting mockery or laughter due to being absurd or unreasonable; outrageously unreasonable or exaggerated in a way that provokes disbelief.
They laughed when he made the ridiculous claim that he could lift a car by himself, but then lo and behold they watched him actually do it.
